THE ORMSKIRK THEATRE COMPANY ARE ALIVE AND WELL

Apologies if we have been a little quiet of late, but we are happy to announce that the Ormskirk Theatre Company are still alive and kicking despite the closure of Upstairs at Disraeli’s and our recent failed attempt to obtain Arts Council funding for a portable community theatre.

We are pleased to announce that we are trying out a couple of events—a Valentine’s Day Quiz on Friday 12th February and a special showcase performance of our murdernight A Fete Worse Than Death on Friday 26th February, both at The Toby Carvery, County Road, Ormskirk.

The Valentine’s Day Quiz is a fun quiz open to all where the OTC Trophy is yet again up for grabs.

Tickets are available by telephoning 07754 925004.

A Fete Worse Than Death is one of our popular murdernights and the performance on Friday 26th February is open free to all interested parties—so if you represent a community group and wonder whether a murder mystery might be a good fundraiser for you, come along and see what a murdernight is all about—an interactive murder mystery where you question the suspects to identify the murderer!

Tickets are free by contacting 07563 724814.

Plans are already under way to perform John Godber’s Teechers at the Toby in July, and we are pleased to confirm that our award-winning commemorative event for Armistice Day, Remember will be staged in November this year.

We are also happy to announce that at the recent regional National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) awards, Gary Simpson was named Best Actor for his performance as the Landlord in our March 2015 production of Jim Cartwright’s Two. Pat Baker, Andy Hawkes and Dave Smith were also nominated for our productuions of Two and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
